When a group of teenage children mysteriously emerge from a remote part of the country, everyone wants to hear their stories. Trouble is, they won't or can't speak.

Psychologist Sarah Stevens is surprisingly brought in to treat them and reveal who they are and what may have happened to them. But her own life is already in turmoil after the death of her renowned psychologist father in strange circumstances.
Eventually convincing the children to write down their thoughts in a series of journals, she attempts to piece together their story.

As the children’s behaviour becomes more disturbing and with a feverish media camped outside demanding answers, Sarah begins to wonder about her own sanity as disturbing and frightening things begin to happen in her own life.

Will she be able to maintain her own sanity long enough to reveal the children’s story?
