Cristina Rivera Garza is the award-winning author of The Taiga Syndrome & The Iliac Crest, among many other books. A recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship, Rivera Garza is the M. D. Anderson Distinguished Professor in Hispanic Studies, & director of the PhD program in creative writing in Spanish at the University of Houston. She is the recipient of the Roger Caillois Award for Latin American Literature (2013), the Anna Seghers-Preis (2005), & the only two-time winner of the International Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize (2001; 2009).
Robin Myers is a Mexico City-based poet & Spanish-to-English translator. Her latest book-length translations include In Vitro by Isabel Zapata (2023), Bariloche by Andrés Neuman (2023), The Book of Explanations by Tedi López Mills (2022), Copy by Dolores Dorantes (2022), & The Dream of Every Cell by Maricela Guerrero (2022).
